Hes absolutely horrible. He always gives up at least 1 run per game he plays and he only plays for 1 inning or less because he sucks so much. If it werrent for him the blue jays would be 50-32 right now. Send him to triple A for life.

He's such a bad closer, his pitches are all below speed, blows so many saves, basically he sucks.

I came across your site searching the words bj ryan sucks. I think they have a currently overachieving team but enjoyable in its components nonetheless.All...except BJ. I feel like i am watching a oldies tight rope walker....who may fall off at any second..not fun...even when he wins..not fun...too...

i was at the game today and the gf wanted to leave in the top of the 9th with the jays leading 7-4...then i saw ryan coming out to pitch...so we stayed for some more baseball 2 more innings to be exact because ryan blew the save...he is a BUM and always was a BUM and he always will be a BUM...bring...

Ryan doesn't have the movement or location to throw in the high 80s to low 90s. He's a thrower and needs to learn to become a pitcher if he wants to make it through the year. I'd send him down and teach him a change up and have him work on getting more movement with his fastball.

He always used to pitch in the high 90's, thats why he was so good.  Now after his injury, I haven't seen him in the 90's at all.  His fastball is 88-89MPH.
